The largemouth black bass is also called Bayou, are found throughout central United States and can weight up to 9 kg (20 lb). The smallmouth black bass resembles the largemouth bass, and the dotted bass is found in the Mississippi basin. Smallmouth bass are found from Lake Champlain southwest to the Appalachian region; they reach a maximum weight of about 2.3 kg (about 5 lb).

Pound for pound, the Smallmouth Bass are the feistiest fish in Northwest Ontario. The Sunset Country is one of Canada’s finest Bass locations and in high season it’s waters teem with these little fighters waiting to take hold of your bait.
